Outpace Trade is run by Outpace Holdings LLC, doing business as Outpace Trade ("we", "us"). This page explains what information we collect when you visit outpacetrade.com or use the Outpace Trade app, why we collect it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We wrote it ourselves, in plain English, and we keep it true: when the product changes, this page changes in the same release.

Outpace Trade is a web tool for self-directed swing traders. It describes stock chart setups, keeps your trading journal, and gives educational coaching. It never tells you what to buy or sell. It is educational only and not financial advice.

Questions, or a request about your data: email privacy@outpacetrade.com. Quinn, the founder, reads that inbox.

The short version

  • What we collect: your email address, what you type into the app (tickers, journal entries, chat and coaching messages, onboarding answers), the chart images the app makes for your analyses, and basic technical records (server logs, error reports, usage counts). Analytics run only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • Why: to run the product, to send your analyses to our AI provider for the written analysis and coaching, to keep the service secure, to email you about your account, and to improve the product.
  • Who else sees it: the companies that run parts of the service for us (database, hosting, AI, email, error reports, analytics, payments). Each one is named below with what it receives. We do not sell your information, and we show no advertising.
  • Your choices: download your data and delete your account in Settings; unsubscribe from any email with one click; accept or reject analytics in the cookie banner; email us for anything else.

1. What we collect

What you give us

  • Your email address, when you sign up, sign in, or join the beta waitlist. You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google, so we never store a password.
  • From Google, if you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture. That is all we ask Google for.
  • Onboarding answers: your experience level, what you find hardest about trading, how a trade usually goes wrong for you, how you approach risk, your main goal, and the experience mode you pick.
  • Analyses: the ticker symbols you analyze, the chart images the app captures for each analysis (daily, weekly and sometimes hourly charts), and the written analysis that comes back.
  • Your journal: trade plans, trades, skipped trades, debriefs, your trading rules, your watchlist, game plans and weekly or monthly reviews.
  • Account size and maximum risk per trade, only if you choose to enter them for position sizing.
  • Chat and coaching messages you send in the app, and the replies.
  • Trade history files you import from a broker: we read them to create journal entries. Section 6 explains what part of a file reaches our AI provider.
  • Support messages you send from the app, and feedback you give on an analysis. A support message is also emailed to Quinn's inbox together with your email address and account ID, so he can answer you.
  • Your acceptance of our Terms: the time and the version you agreed to at onboarding.

What our systems record on their own

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records each request: your IP address, browser type, the page or API route requested, and the time. We use these to keep the site running and to investigate problems.
  • Your country. Our hosting provider reads the country your connection appears to come from and passes it to us. We use it to check whether Outpace is available where you are, and we store the two-letter country code with a waitlist entry. We never collect your precise location.
  • Signup abuse signals. When you create an account, we store the IP address you signed up from and a one-way scrambled form (a hash) of your email address, so one person cannot farm free trials. When you sign up or join the waitlist, we also keep hourly attempt counters keyed to a shortened form of your IP address (the last part removed) and, separately, to your email domain.
  • Usage counts. How many analyses you run (for the hourly and monthly limits of your plan) and how much AI capacity each feature used for your account (for our costs).
  • Error reports. When something breaks, our error-monitoring tool receives the error, the page it happened on, and your browser type. Section 4 says more.
  • Analytics, only after you accept. Section 4 lists exactly what our analytics tool receives.
  • Setup accuracy records. When you analyze a stock, we keep the ticker, the grade and its parts, the setup type, the market state, the planned entry, stop and target levels, and the time. Later we record how the price actually moved. We use this only to check and improve our grading. If you delete your account, these records are kept with no link to you.
  • Email records. Which account and product emails we sent you and when, and whether you unsubscribed.

We do not collect sensitive information such as health, race, religion, or precise location, and we do not ask for your brokerage login.

2. Why we use it

  • To run the product: sign you in, save your analyses and journal, and show them when you return.
  • To write the analysis and coaching: send the ticker, chart images and the text you enter to our AI provider, which returns the written analysis, coaching and reviews (section 6).
  • To apply your plan's limits: count the analyses you run against the hourly and monthly limits.
  • To keep the service secure: block throwaway email addresses, repeated signups and other abuse, and find and fix bugs.
  • To email you: sign-in links, account notices, messages about your trial or plan, and, if you joined the waitlist, your invitation and the topics you chose. Every email that is not about your account has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer you: when you write to support or reply to an email.
  • To improve the product: understand which pages and features get used (analytics, only with your consent) and measure how accurate our setup grades are (the de-identified accuracy records in section 1).
  • To meet legal duties: keep the records the law requires and respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your information to show you advertising, and we do not sell it.

3. Who else receives it

We use a small number of companies to run parts of the service. Each one receives only what its job needs, under a contract that limits it to working for us. Here is the full list and what each one gets:

  • Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage): everything you save in the app, your email address, and the chart images. Hosted in the United States.
  • Vercel (website hosting): every request to the site, including your IP address, and the country it derives from it.
  • Anthropic (AI analysis and coaching): the ticker, chart images and text described in section 6. Anthropic does not use these inputs to train its models.
  • PostHog (analytics, only after you accept in the cookie banner): the events listed in section 4, under a random ID.
  • Sentry (error reports): error details and the page they happened on.
  • Resend (email delivery): your email address and the content of each email we send you.
  • Google: if you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email and picture. We also use Google Workspace for our own inbox, so your emails to us, your replies, and the support messages you send from the app are stored there.
  • Stripe (payments, when paid plans are open): your email address and what you pay for. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. We keep only a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status.
  • Market data providers (EODHD, Yahoo Finance, Polygon.io, Financial Modeling Prep): the ticker symbols we look up. They never receive anything about you. The market news shown on our Market page comes from Financial Modeling Prep, and its links open on the publisher's site.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to enforce our Terms. If Outpace Holdings LLC is ever sold or merged, your information would pass to the new owner under this same policy, and we would tell you first.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not allow other companies to track you across other websites through our site.

4. Analytics and error reports

Analytics run only if you accept them. Our cookie banner asks on your first visit. Until you click Accept, our analytics tool (PostHog) is not even downloaded. If you reject, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it never loads. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of most pages, including our legal pages.

If you accept, PostHog receives:

  • Pages and clicks: on every page of the site and the app, PostHog's automatic capture records the page you are on, which buttons and links you click, and how far you scroll. From clicks and scroll positions PostHog builds heatmaps, which show us, across all visitors together, which parts of a page get attention. The heatmap records where on the page you clicked or scrolled, not what you typed.
  • Named actions on the site: viewing the homepage (with the tag of the link you arrived from, if any), clicking a homepage button (with the button's text), joining the waitlist (with the tag of the link you arrived from, if any).
  • Named actions in the app: starting onboarding, your answers to the two onboarding questions (your experience mode and your main goal), the first ticker you analyze during onboarding (or that you skipped that step), each ticker you analyze together with the grade and verdict it received, opening the coach page, seeing the upgrade page or a plan limit, and upgrading, pausing or canceling a plan.
  • A random ID for your browser, so visits can be counted. When you are signed in, we also send your account ID, so we can see how one account uses the product over time. We never send your email address or name.
  • Your country and continent, derived from your IP address by PostHog. PostHog discards the IP address itself; we do not keep your full IP address for analytics, and we keep no city or postal code.
  • Your browser and device type, screen size and the referring page.

PostHog does not record your screen or your session, and it receives no page-speed measurements. Analytics records are tied to the random ID and your account ID only. They are not deleted automatically when you delete your account; email us and we will delete them.

Error reports go to Sentry whether or not you accept analytics, because they contain no analytics and set no cookies. A report holds the error, the page it happened on and your browser type. Sentry also receives timing information for a small sample of requests to our servers, so we can find slow ones. We do not attach your name, email address or account ID to error reports, and Sentry session replay and browser performance tracing are switched off.

5. Cookies and browser storage

We use a few essential cookies and browser storage items to keep you signed in, to remember your cookie choice, and to remember settings you pick in the app. PostHog sets its own cookie and storage items only after you accept analytics. We use no advertising cookies.

Every cookie and storage item is listed by name, with its purpose and lifetime, in our Cookie Policy.

6. How our AI features handle your data

The written analysis, the coaching, the trade debriefs, the position reviews, the monthly reviews and the rule suggestions are produced by Anthropic's Claude models through Anthropic's API. To produce them, we send Anthropic:

  • the ticker you analyze, the chart images the app captures, and market data about that stock;
  • the journal entries, trade plans, debrief notes, rules and chat or coaching messages that the feature is working on;
  • your onboarding answers, when the app picks your starting rules and strategy;
  • when you import a trade history file: only the column names (with digit runs and email addresses masked) and sample values reduced to ticker, price, share count, date and buy or sell words. Account numbers and other free text are removed before anything is sent.

Under Anthropic's commercial terms, Anthropic does not use these inputs to train its models. Anthropic receives no name, email address or account identifier from us.

Some of this processing runs on a schedule rather than when you press a button: once a month we generate a review of your previous month's journal, and on weekdays we record how the price moved for the setups you analyzed. Neither makes any decision about you; both produce text or numbers you can read in the app.

AI output can be wrong. It is educational material about a chart, never a recommendation, and it makes no decision with legal or similar effect on you.

7. Signing in with Google

If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name, email address and profile picture, nothing else. We use them only to create and show your account. Our use of information from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use rules. Google's own handling of your account is covered by Google's privacy policy.

8. How long we keep it, and what deleting your account removes

We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account yourself in Settings. Deleting it removes your profile, email address, analyses and their chart images, journal, trades, rules, watchlist, chat and coaching history, support messages, usage counts, the record of emails we sent you, your waitlist entry under the same email address, and the IP address and scrambled email address we stored when you signed up. It also cancels any paid plan and signs you out everywhere.

A few things remain after deletion, and we say so here rather than promise otherwise:

  • Hourly signup attempt counters, keyed to a shortened form of your IP address and to your email domain, never your email address. We delete them automatically after 30 days.
  • Setup accuracy records, with the link to your account removed.
  • AI usage counts, with the link to your account removed.
  • Analytics records at PostHog, tied to the random ID and your old account ID. Email us and we delete them.
  • Support messages and emails you sent us stay in our inbox. Email us and we delete them.
  • A Stripe customer record, if you ever started a checkout, kept for our accounting records.
  • Server logs and database backups are kept by our hosting and database providers for a limited time, then expire on their own.

9. How we protect it

Your data travels over encrypted connections and is stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Our database enforces row-level rules so one account can only read its own rows. There are no passwords to leak, because you sign in with a one-time link or with Google. Administrative access to our systems is held by the founder's accounts, including the development tools he runs under them; no one else has it.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities the law requires.

10. Under 18

Outpace Trade is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, email privacy@outpacetrade.com and we will delete it.

11. Your choices and rights

Things you can do yourself

  • See and correct your information: your journal, rules, watchlist and settings are editable in the app. Your email address and profile are in Settings.
  • Download your data: Settings has a Download my data button that gives you a ZIP file of your trades, analyses, rules and journal notes.
  • Delete your account: Settings, Delete account. Section 8 says what that removes.
  • Stop emails: every email that is not about your account has an unsubscribe link, and waitlist emails have a Manage your emails link. We still send the emails your account needs, such as sign-in links.
  • Turn analytics off: reject in the cookie banner, or use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of most pages, including this one. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as a rejection.

Things you can ask us for

Email privacy@outpacetrade.com to ask what information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw a consent you gave. We answer within 45 days. If we cannot do what you ask, we tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to our answer. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to your state attorney general.

To protect your data, we check that a request really comes from you, usually by replying to the email address on the account. Someone you authorize can make a request for you if they show us your written permission.

We never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

There is no agreed standard for browser Do Not Track signals, so we do not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, we treat it as rejecting analytics, and nothing non-essential loads. Nothing on our site tracks you across other websites.

12. Notice for United States residents

Several states (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others) give residents rights over their personal information. Here is what those laws ask us to state.

Categories we collect: identifiers (email address, account ID, IP address, name and picture if you use Google sign-in); what you enter into the product (listed in section 1); the financial details you choose to enter (account size and maximum risk per trade); commercial information (your plan and subscription status); internet activity on our own site (pages, clicks and scrolling, only with your consent); your country (never precise location); and inferences we draw about your trading habits for coaching (for example, the patterns the coach notices in your journal).

Sources: you, your browser and device, our hosting provider (your country), Google (if you sign in with Google), and Stripe (payment status).

Purposes: section 2. Disclosed to service providers: section 3 lists each one and what it receives.

Sale and sharing: we have never sold personal information or shared it for targeted advertising, and we do not plan to. There is nothing to opt out of.

Sensitive information: we collect none beyond the financial figures you choose to enter, which we use only for position sizing.

Your rights: to know what we collect, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to get a portable copy, and to appeal our decision, all without being treated differently. Section 11 explains how.

California Shine the Light: we do not share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing, so there is nothing to report. California residents can confirm this by emailing privacy@outpacetrade.com.

13. Where your data lives

Outpace Trade is operated from California, and our providers store data in the United States. During the beta, Outpace is not available to people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and we do not accept signups or waitlist entries from those regions. If you use the service from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States under United States law.

14. The beta waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the time you joined and agreed to receive beta invitation emails, the country your connection came from (two-letter code only), and, if you arrived through a tagged link, that link's short label (for example, "reddit"). The abuse counters in section 1 apply to the waitlist form too.

After you join, we send one welcome email. On the thank-you screen you can tick two unticked boxes for "Building updates" (a few emails a month about what we are building) and "Trading guides and lessons" (free educational material). We record when you tick each box, when we sent the welcome email, and when you unsubscribe. Resend delivers these emails. If you reply, your reply sits in our Google Workspace inbox so Quinn can answer.

Every waitlist email has a Manage your emails link and an Unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops updates and guides. We still send one email when your beta spot is ready, because that is what you joined for. To leave the waitlist completely, email us and we delete the entry.

We show the total number of people on the waitlist on our homepage. It is a count only.

If you accepted analytics, PostHog records that a waitlist signup happened and which tagged link it came from, under the random ID. Your email address is never sent to PostHog.

15. Shared grade cards

If you choose to share an analysis, we create a public link showing the ticker, its grade and score, the market state and the analysis date, plus a preview image for social media. The page shows no name, email address, account detail, journal entry or full analysis. We ask search engines not to index it. You can stop sharing at any time, and the link stops working.

16. Not financial advice

Outpace Trade is an educational tool. Nothing in it, including any grade, score, market state or coaching message, is financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Outpace Holdings LLC is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. Every trading decision is yours.

17. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top and add a line under Changes to this page at the bottom, so you can see what changed and when. If a change affects what we collect or who receives it in a way that matters to you, we email account holders before it takes effect. When we change how we handle your data, we update this page.

Changes to this page

  • October 14, 2026: Added viewing the homepage to the named actions our analytics tool receives.
  • October 12, 2026: Deleting your account now also removes your chart images, your waitlist entry under the same email address, and the IP address and scrambled email address stored when you signed up. Hourly signup attempt counters are now deleted after 30 days.
  • October 8, 2026: Rewritten in our own words (the earlier text came from a policy generator). What we do did not change, but the page now says it more plainly and more completely: the exact events our analytics tool receives, including the tickers you analyze and your onboarding answers; click and scroll heatmaps; that analytics keep only your country, never your full IP address; the data export in Settings; support messages; and where your data is stored.
  • October 7, 2026: Moved from Termly to this page and corrected to match the site: no mobile app, Google is the only social login, no advertising cookies; added setup accuracy records, shared grade cards, signup abuse signals, the waitlist welcome email and email choices, Google Workspace for business email, and what we keep after you delete your account.
  • September 29, 2026: Added the beta waitlist and analytics sections (published on Termly).
  • June 17, 2026: First published (on Termly).
